Α Effect of stepwise methanol addition and silica gel in the reaction mixture on % conversion yield. Reactions were catalyzed by 20% w/woil UAS1B8-TMAL(250)-YlPIR1-LIP2 IntC_2 biomass, which was grown in a bioreactor under low agitation conditions (150–300 rpm), harvested after 72-h cultivation, and lyophilized. Reaction conditions: 3:1 molar ratio of methanol to olive oil, 40 °C, and 200 rpm for 48 h. Methyl heptadecanoate in n-hexane (10 mg/mL) was used as the internal standard for quantification, according to the EN 14103 standard method [44]. Data points represent the mean values of two biological replicates (n = 2), with standard deviations shown as error bars. Β Βiocatalyst reusability under conditions of stepwise methanol addition with and without silica gel. The reaction conditions were as described above, with each cycle lasting 7 days
